Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations (WPO)

Based at Walton Oaks, Surrey, the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations works with customers, including the NHS, to provide a wide range of medicines to the UK healthcare market.

Pfizer markets as wide a range of medicines - some of them are life savers, while others improve the quality of life for millions of people. They are used to treat diseases and conditions in so many diverse fields, such as heart disorders, cancer, raised blood pressure, high cholesterol and sexual health.

Pfizer Animal Health (PAH)

Based at Walton Oaks, Surrey, Pfizer Animal Health applies the same level of sales and marketing expertise as our human pharmaceutical business.

Pfizer Animal Health focuses on medicines and vaccines for livestock and companion animals.

With its premier position in the UK market, the company discovers, develops and markets a very wide range of animal medicines, including vaccines, antibiotics and both internal and external parasiticides for farm livestock, horses and family pets.

Our product line and geographic scope are unmatched in the industry, supporting every major animal species in more than 140 countries.

Pfizer Global Research & Development (PGRD)

Our UK Research & Development operation, based at Sandwich, Kent, is part of a global network dedicated to the discovery and development of new medicines.

Pfizer spends roughly £550 million in the UK alone in the search for important new medicines that may enhance human and animal health worldwide.

The Sandwich laboratories employ over 2,000 scientists, making this the largest research and development (R&D) site of any foreign-owned pharmaceutical company in the UK.
