Constantly Moving Challenge

In common with many other aspects of our business, we recognise that EHS challenges do not stand still. Our objective is to seek continual improvement, as well as maintaining the high standards we have already achieved.

Over the last few years we have been using the techniques of formalised EHS Management Systems to identify and prioritise areas for improvement and, where appropriate, set ourselves EHS objectives and targets for continual improvement. At our Sandwich site this has included gaining external accreditation (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) of our management systems both within our Manufacturing and Research & Development operations. Although we will primarily focus on EHS matters in this report, we realise our impact and influence extends beyond these to include both the community and financial aspects of our business. All these areas (Environmental, Community and Financial) are of interest to a variety of interested parties or stakeholders.

With that in mind, we have recently undertaken an extensive stakeholder consultation exercise we have called Attracting Debate. You can find out move here http://www.pfizer.co.uk/OurResponsibility/Pages/AttractingDebate2009.aspx

In the meantime, we would welcome any comments or questions you may have regarding the information we have published in this report.
